He is proud to have helped his team achieve some of the most recognized accomplishments and accolades in the beer industry, and looks forward to further helping the New Mexico beer industry and the community that surrounds it.

Kristy Bounds

NMBG Board Member

Membership & Events/Fundraising Committees

Steel Bender Brewyard - (https://steelbenderbrewyard.com)

Kristy moved to New Mexico in 2008 for the sunshine and food, but stayed for the beer. She started in the beer industry in 2019 as a student in the Brewing Program at Central New Mexico Community College (CNM) and as a server in 2020 at Brew Lab 101. Kristy gained brewing experience at Sidetrack Brewing Co. under the mentorship of David Kimbell formerly of Sidetrack Brewing Co. and CNM. Kristy graduated from CNM with an Associates Degree in Brewing and Beverage Management in 2022. She is currently working at Steel Bender Brewyard as a Cellar and Packaging Technician. Kristy also volunteers as the New Mexico Chapter Co-Leader for the Pink Boots Society, which is an organization that helps women and non binary individuals advance their careers in the fermentation industry through education. She will bring her passion for beer, enthusiasm for the industry and attention to detail to the board to help spread the word that New Mexico beer is world class. She believes our state should be recognized for the wealth of knowledge our brewers hold, from the smallest stovetop home brewer to the largest production brewery established over 35 years ago. Kristy is just beginning her career in this industry and wants to ensure New Mexico's craft beer story is told.

Stevo Jeter

NMBG Board Member

Membership & Events/Fundraising Committees

Ex Novo Brewing Co. - (http://www.exnovobrew.com)

“My name is Stevo Jeter. I am currently the General Manager of Ex Novo Brewing Co in Corrales, NM. I am honored to say I've been a part of Ex Novo NM since we opened our doors in May of 2019. Before craft beer, I spent 17 years as a Morning Show host on the largest reaching FM Station in the state of NM. As a voice on a non-profit radio station I was able to connect and make an impact with many other outstanding non-profits throughout New Mexico. I have always had a deep love for this state, and am thankful that I get to be a part of our incredible craft beer community. Last year, Ex Novo was able to bring 26 breweries together for a collab fest, and raise money for the Somos Unidos Foundation. I had great pride in being a part of that amazing event that brought so many breweries together, and it's why I am throwing my name out there to potentially be a board member for the NMBG.”

Ebbie Edmonston

NMBG Executive Director - (director@nmbeer.org)

Raised in Phoenix, Arizona Ebbie got to experience a lot of what the Southwest has to offer. Between visiting the Grand Canyon, going to school in Sedona, and yearly trips to Santa Fe’s Indian Market, she is a true Southwesterner at heart.

Ebbie moved to New Mexico in 2014 and immediately fell in love with the New Mexico beer community. She started her journey by working at Duel Brewing and learning the basics of beer. She continued her beer education by becoming a Cicerone Certified Beer Server and is actively working towards becoming a Certified Cicerone. Her position at Rowley Farmhouse Ales gave her the opportunity to become an expert in Belgian Beer styles. Her passion for beer exceeds tasting, as she also makes a conscious effort to educate and to encourage those around her about the history of beer. Ebbie is an active member of the New Mexico Pink Boots Society and plans to continue the efforts to raise awareness of women in the alcohol industry and advocate for fair treatment for all.

She believes beer is a common thread, it is a tool to bring people together and it’s something that can be shared regardless of who you are or where you came from. It’s this magic that has inspired Ebbie to pursue this craft, and to be driven to push the beer community of New Mexico to the next level.
